How did you fall in love with your field?
Growing up and throughout my medical training, I was always fascinated by the complexities of the brain and the phenomenon of consciousness. My field—Neurocritical Care and EEG—is an evolving specialty with tremendous potential to treat acute brain injury, prevent secondary damage, and improve patient outcomes. What excites me most are the recent advances in both noninvasive and invasive neuromonitoring, which help prevent further brain injury and support neuroprognostication. In the end, everything comes back to the brain—it’s where life, identity, and recovery begin.
Three things people may not know about me
- Love watching documentaries of space, aircrafts and travelling
- Grew up in 3 different countries and love to try different cuisines
- Photography, cycling and road tripping
