RESEARCH

I have many diverse research interests. I am keenly interested in regional variations in the utilization of surgery and strategies to reduce unwarranted variations. I am also very interested in regional variations in clinical practice and post-operative outcomes, and efforts to reduce those variations through regional and systematic quality improvement and health policy initiatives. In addition, I thoroughly enjoy teaching students and residents in all health professions. My clinical interests include pancreatic cancer, biliary malignancy, hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, and soft tissue sarcoma.

Dr. Bradley Reames is the best! He seems so caring and is very thorough. He also has a good sense of humor. We fill we owe our lives to the entire medical teams at UNMC.

I was very impressed with Dr. Reames. I felt like I was his only patient for the day, and he explained everything they had done that day (labs, MRI result, etc) in language I could understand. He was very patient oriented and I recommend him highly. UNMC is lucky to have him on staff.

Dr Reames was excellent! He even drew pictures on the paper of the exam table to illustrate what was going on. Absolutely impressive. He answered all my questions & asked if I had any more. I felt very knowledgeable about my medical issues.
