Our Child and Family Development Team consists of:
- Five child life specialists

- An early development specialist
- A hospital teacher
Each of our child life specialists has earned a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in child development or a related field. A child life specialist’s goal is to help pediatric patients and their families to understand illness and the hospital setting.
Our full-time music therapist is nationally certified by the Certification Board of Music Therapists and holds Music Therapist Board Certified credentials. The music therapist's goal is to protect patients' psychosocial wellbeing through individualized music interventions during their hospital stay.
Our hospital teacher is available to K-12 patients. The hospital teacher's goal is to help children continue learning while receiving treatment.
And our early development specialist is available to patients from birth through school age. The early development specialist's goal is to design developmental strategies for caregivers while their child is in the hospital..
