Dr Mikuls talks to you like your family. He always smiles and ask how are doing he really cares about me ( the patient). He usually has a med student with him and he talks to them the same way. He doesn't have an arrogant attitude and never talks down to either of us. You can feel that he genuinely cares about the patient as well as teaching the next generation of doctors. You would be hard press to find another doctor that that is this kind and caring. I was having some increased pain and swelling of my joints. As he was examining my joints he is explaining what he thinks is going on as well as explaining all treatment option available. While he is talking to me he is also talking and explaining what he is seeing and feeling to the medical student. He explained what was going on and ask the medical student if she understood as well. He is a great teacher to our future physicians and he does the explaining to them. Not at them. You can tell he has a caring heart.
