Tests and labs were not back in time for appointment. This has never been the case with a previous Nebraska Medicine Doctor as I was told to get labs done that day of instead a week prior as in the past. The Appointment should have been rescheduled because all pertinent information regarding care was done in the portal online or a nurse relaying the questions to the doctor. I was told that could make a new appointment. I would have liked to ask my questions and have a conversation with my doctor. I left the appointment feeling like it was mute because the test data was not back and the doc, was pleasant, seemed annoyed that I was there. I was referred to him when my previous doctor, who was phenomenal left. The new doctor seems brilliant at handling the technical unique aspects of my case, which I am grateful, but the basic aspects that I have been struggling with for 3 years were addressed via the portal. I was told that I could go somewhere else for it. I have done my due diligence and the only other doctor that has the expertise at the quality that I want or that can do both aspects of my care are at Stanford or in California. I am grateful for Nebraska Medicine, but this appointment left me frustrated.

Dr. Kotwal is an amazing physician and I cannot say enough about how great he has been throughout this entire experience. Arguably the best bedside manner I've had.

Dr. Kotwal is excellent. He always actively listens and really seems to care. Even though he obviously has many patients. I always feel that he is truly present and cares about my care.
