Felt listened to. Pleased with responses and actions prescribed for my problem.

I went into the appointment with anxiety that I would be dismissed of my concern. Instead I felt seen and understood. This is rare when you have multiple medical issues and have seen each end of patient spectrum. Dr Tyler has always treated my concerns with respect and there was no need for anxiety.

(MOTHER'S COMMENTS) I was so happy that our previous PCP set us up with Dr Tyler. Months before she was leaving, we started to talk about who the girls could see. My daughter is very withdrawn with new people and has a hard time speaking to strangers, even when they are medical professionals. Her health condition is, unfortunately, massively misunderstood, especially in cis afab patients. I was also concerned that she may have an equally misunderstood & frequently comorbid condition. I've brought this up to multiple health care professionals who all minimized/disagreed with my gut feeling as she has the more covert markers of the condition, often missed until adulthood for those of her gender. Dr. Tyler knew exactly what I was talking about & set us up immediately with a referral. She did a good job of asking my daughter for consent to listen to her heart, push on her stomach, etc. Many doctors will just TELL children they are going to do something or do it without warning. I appreciate that a lot as I am consistently frustrated by adults who don't respect children's boundaries. She started opening up by the end of the appointment. I asked her when we got home if she would like to continue seeing Dr Tyler & she said, "Yes! Our old doctor picked a really perfect new one for us." Can't ask for better than that from an anxious little one! 5/5 stars, no criticism from either parent about the visit either.

I was very nervous to have a new doctor as I have many health issues that some doctors dismiss, diminish, or deny. It's hard to find a doctor that is informed on these issues and the way they intertwine. Could not find a fit better than this if I had done interviews of a hundred providers. Knowledgeable, compassionate, and straightforward without a patronizing attitude.

Dr. Tyler is very relatable and her follow up is wonderful. She spends time, asks questions and waits until the patient has a moment to think about issues they need to discuss. I really appreciate the effort and quality she puts into her visits.
