About the Nebraska Medicine Office of Health Professions Education Learner Placement Process:

Thank you for your interest in pursuing a student placement at Nebraska Medicine. Nebraska Medicine has a limited number of new Clinical Affiliation Agreements (CAA) signed due to student capacity and has not added contracts with online programs.

Listed below are the considerations for student placement

  1. Use the application portal below to request hours with Nebraska Medicine
  2. As capacity of preceptors allows, priority placement goes to Nebraska Medicine employees, and University of Nebraska Medical Center and Clarkson College students (based on Academic Affiliation Agreements with the above-mentioned institutions)
  3. Prior to placement, a Clinical Affiliation Agreement must be established with Nebraska Medicine and requesting university/college.
  4. TO ENSURE AN EQUITABLE PLACEMENT PROCESS AND MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACCREDITATION STANDARDS OF OUR PARTNERING ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, STUDENTS AND THEIR INSTITUTIONS ARE NOT TO CONTACT POTENTIAL PRECEPTORS FOR PLACEMENT, BUT RATHER APPLY VIA THIS APPLICATION.
  5. Due to limited availability, please submit additional areas of interest on the application below
  6. You will receive notice of your placement via email from the Office of Health Professions Education approximately 1 month prior to your semester start date.  The notification will provide you next steps instructions for your part in the clinical affiliation agreement exhibits, name badge request, and One Chart access if needed.
  7. You are responsible for ensuring you complete all the steps prior to your placement on campus.

Please contact ohpe@nebraskamed.com if you have any questions.

NOTE: You must scroll down through the application below to answer all 15 required questions, and 3 optional questions.
