Together, we're extraordinary
We’re introducing our new employment brand promise to you, because without you, we can’t be Together. Extraordinary.
This is where people come to do the most rewarding work of their careers.
This is who we are, and what we aspire to be.
Today, we’re launching our new employment brand promise “Together. Extraordinary.” It’s a refresh of “Be Extraordinary,” our brand promise of the last eight years.
“Together. Extraordinary.” is the culmination of dedicated research, that included stakeholder interviews, colleague deep-dive surveys, focus groups with colleagues and students, Colleague Pulse Check and exit interview data, social and competitor listening. The goal was to strengthen our understanding of what this organization means to you, what it takes to attract and retain the right people, and what the future could look like.
“This is really where people come to achieve the extraordinary,” says Katie Beach, vice president, People Operations. “We wanted to create an employment brand promise that captured the potential of what a career here can be, and really build pride in what we can accomplish together.”
As part of the campaign and based on some of the feedback we heard from colleagues and leaders, you’ll see a number of new or updated elements:
- We’ve revamped our NebraskaMed.com/Careers website.
- Improvements and enhancements to new colleague onboarding and orientation were rolled out.
- Indoor murals at both Nebraska Medical Center and Bellevue Medical Center.
- A dedicated selection of apparel and merchandise at The Company Store.
- TV and radio commercials, digital and social media ads, featuring more than 50 of our colleagues.
- Later this month, you’ll see new pole banners around the Nebraska Medical Center campus.
- We are planning a rollout of improved development and career pathing resources.
“Together. Extraordinary.” does not replace our brand promise of “Serious Medicine. Extraordinary Care.” That is our commitment to our patients and community.
“When I look at Nebraska Medicine, on any given day, there are more than 10,000 individuals doing extraordinary work,” says Jim Linder, MD, CEO. “I am so proud of each of you, every hour of every day you make valuable contributors in our mission, and we work together because health care is a complex business. It requires everyone working together to deliver the extraordinary care that we do.
“While we never know what our personal future holds, I’m optimistic about the opportunities available to you, no matter how your role at Nebraska Medicine grows,” Dr. Linder adds.
“I prefer to call this a movement rather than a campaign,” Frank Lococo, vice president, Marketing and Communications. “I hope this inspires each of us to truly believe in the impact we have, not only in our community, but in each other’s lives.”
