Summary
The objective of this study is to adapt and test an evidence-based physical activity intervention, The Community Health Activities Model Program for Seniors II (CHAMPS II)3, in the HCT setting to improve cognitive function. This program is effective in increasing physical activity for sedentary community-dwelling older adults. This innovative proposal will use a hybrid effectiveness-implementation design and mixed-methods to test whether the adapted intervention addresses the needs and priorities of older adults in the HCT setting, while considering the clinical context to address future implementation and sustainability.
