Legal plan options

Protect yourself and your family with MetLife legal plans. For a low monthly fee, our plan provides access to a network of experienced attorneys for a wide range of personal legal matters, including estate planning, home transactions, family issues and civil lawsuits.

MetLife offers two flexible options to ensure you get the legal support you need.

Both plans include:

  • Access to network attorneys for personal legal matters for you, your spouse and your dependents.
  • Coverage for estate planning, home transactions, family issues, civil lawsuits and more.
  • No waiting periods, deductibles or claim forms.
  • Four hours of network attorney time annually for noncovered matters.

The Legal Plan + Identity & Fraud Protection adds:

  • Credit monitoring and proactive fraud alerts.
  • Identity theft insurance for added security.
  • Comprehensive protection for you and your family against identity-related issues.

Legal coverage enrollment and changes

You can sign up for legal coverage during Annual Enrollment or when you first become eligible for benefits. Once you enroll, your coverage stays in place for the entire plan year if you are eligible.
